All Quiet in Peking
In 1948, when the Communist Party was about to win the War of Liberation against the National Party, Meng'ao Fang was appointed by Chingkuo Chiang to lead an investigation into corruption, in the Peking Branch of Central Bank. Meanwhile, Chingkuo Chiang backed the monetary reform aiming at accumulating foreign exchange, while the National Party faced an economic breakdown. As the story unfolds, underground Communist Party members fought against enemy spies in rescuing the economy.
